FOUNDATIONS · COHORT 01

You’ve thought about building something of your own long enough.

Now spend 90 days finding out what that thought is actually worth.

A 13-week guided journey for professionals who want to explore entrepreneurship without walking away from the life they’ve already built before they have enough reason to.

“Kuch apna karna hai.”

Maybe you’ve been thinking it for six months.

Maybe five years.

Maybe you already have an idea.

Maybe you have ten.

Maybe you have no idea what you would build — you just know you want to build something that feels like yours.

And yet, nothing has quite moved.

Not because you lack ambition.

Because this isn’t a small decision.

You have a career.
A salary.
Responsibilities.
A reputation.
A life that already works.
Walking away from all of that just to “figure things out” doesn’t feel responsible.
But doing nothing about the thought doesn’t feel right either.
Foundations is being built for that exact space.

You do not need to quit your job to start finding answers.

You need a way to explore the questions properly.

Over 13 weeks, Foundations gives you the structure, people and accountability to move from thinking about entrepreneurship to actively gathering evidence about whether, what and how you should build.

SUNDAY
creates direction.
THE WEEK
creates evidence.

You’ll spend far less time consuming entrepreneurship content and far more time:

Talking to people.
Testing assumptions.
Exploring problems.
Building experiments.
Making decisions.
Reflecting on what the evidence is telling you.

This is not about convincing you to become a founder.

It is about helping you make a better decision about whether you should.

By the end of Foundations, you should be able to answer five questions more clearly.

01
Should I build?
Not “could I?”
Not “would it be exciting?”
But whether entrepreneurship is actually a path you want to pursue once you’ve experienced more of what the work really requires.
02
What should I build next?
Move beyond the folder full of ideas, vague interests and opportunities that all seem equally promising.
Learn what deserves another week of your time — and what doesn’t.
03
Who should I build for?
Get out of your own head.
Understand real people, real problems and the context in which something might actually become valuable.
04
What is my next responsible step?
Not everyone should resign on Day 91.
Your next step may be another experiment.
A side project.
A first customer.
A business worth pursuing more seriously.
Or a conscious decision not to pursue something at all.
The point is to make that decision with more evidence than you have today.
05
Can I trust my own judgment more?
Because eventually, no framework, mentor or LinkedIn post can make these decisions for you.
Foundations is designed to help you become better at making them yourself.

This is not a 13-week course.

There will be things to learn.

But learning is not the work.
The work happens between sessions.
Every week, you will leave with something to investigate, test, make, discuss or decide.
13 WEEKS ×
10–12 HOURS

That means Foundations requires approximately 10–12 hours of your time each week.

Alongside your work.
Alongside your responsibilities.
Alongside your existing life.

That constraint is intentional.

Because if something is going to become part of your future, it first has to survive contact with your present.

What the 13 weeks actually look like

Sundays create direction.

Every Sunday at 12 PM IST, the cohort comes together to make sense of what happened during the previous week, work through the next question and decide what needs to happen next.

The week creates evidence.

Between sessions, you do the actual work.

Not assignments for the sake of completing assignments.

Real conversations.
Real research.
Real experiments.
Real decisions.

The cohort creates accountability.

You will build alongside a closed group of people wrestling with many of the same questions — while arriving with different careers, interests, ideas and life circumstances.

The objective is not networking.

It is having serious people around you while you do serious work.

RISHABH TANEJA

Why I’m building this.

I’m Rishabh Kumar Taneja, founder of Kuch Apna.

Before Kuch Apna, I spent years working closely with first-time founders through Entrepreneurs Sanctuary — around ideas, validation, customers, business models and the messy early stages of building.

Over time, I became increasingly interested in the decisions that happen even earlier.

Should I build at all?
What should I build?
And how much evidence should I have before I make a much bigger life decision?

Kuch Apna is my attempt to build seriously for that stage.

Who Foundations is for

  • Have been seriously thinking about building something of their own.
  • Are not looking to make an impulsive resignation.
  • Want to explore entrepreneurship through action, not more content.
  • Are willing to speak to real people and test uncomfortable assumptions.
  • Can commit 10–12 hours every week for the next 13 weeks.
  • Are open to discovering that their current idea may be wrong.
  • Want clarity badly enough to do the work required to earn it.

Foundations is probably not for you if…

You mainly want to learn about startups.
You want a library of recorded videos to watch whenever convenient.
You want someone to hand you a “winning business idea.”
You expect a mentor to tell you exactly what to do.
You are looking for guaranteed revenue, funding or startup success.
You cannot realistically create 10–12 hours every week for the work.
Or you already have a functioning business and your primary challenge is scaling it.

Foundations begins earlier than that.

You do not need to arrive with a startup idea.

You do not need previous entrepreneurial experience.

You do need to be prepared to participate.

90 days later, success does not mean everyone launches a startup.

That would defeat the point.

Outcome A
For one Builder, success may mean discovering a problem worth spending the next two years on.
Outcome B
For another, it may mean getting the first paying customer.
Outcome C
For someone else, it may mean finally killing an idea they have carried around for three years.
Outcome D
And for another, it may mean deciding:
Not now.
With conviction instead of regret.

All of those can be good outcomes.

Because the purpose of Foundations is not to manufacture founders.

It is to help people make better entrepreneurial decisions.

This is a live, closed cohort.

You are expected to participate for the full 13 weeks.

Why only 50 Builders?

Because Cohort 01 is not meant to become another large online course.

I want to know who is in the room.
I want Builders to know one another.
And I want us to be able to pay attention to what is actually happening as people move through the 13 weeks.

The first cohort will remain deliberately small.

How admission works

01
Apply

Tell us about where you are today, what has been on your mind and why Foundations feels relevant now.

This isn’t an exam.

The application helps us understand whether Foundations is likely to be the right environment for you.

02
Have a conversation

If there appears to be a fit, we’ll speak.

Not a scripted sales call.

A conversation about where you are, what you are trying to figure out and whether Foundations can genuinely help.

03
Join Cohort 01

If there is mutual fit, you’ll be offered a place in the first Foundations cohort.

Then the work begins.

ONE THING BEFORE YOU APPLY.

Do not apply because entrepreneurship sounds exciting.

Do not apply because you want to “see what happens.”

And do not apply because paying for a cohort might finally force you to start.

Apply if the thought of building something of your own has stayed with you long enough that:

You are now prepared to do the work required to find out what it means.

If that sounds like where you are:

Applications for Foundations Cohort 01 are now open.
